Where the Name Came From

Peruvian Flake started years ago at my first job in the United States.

A coworker asked where I was from. I said, “Peru.”

He smiled and replied:

“Peruvian Flake!”

Years later, I learned what people used to call the purest of the pure. Whatever that phrase once meant on the street, I wanted Peruvian Flake to mean something different: the very best quality, made right, every time.
